I'm not really sure what qualification does one need to possess in order to start blogging or actively blogging (if you really see a difference between the two). Well, the beauty of blogging I guess is that anyone can write blogs.
Frankly only after viewing a number of blogs did I really feel motivated enough to start writing one. I would just define a blog to be a scratch-pad where one could put down their thoughts randomly. Or in other its merely a diary written by someone with content that is unclassified and can be read by one and all.
Some of the things you can expect from my blog-
- Information and perspectives mostly with a unified theme (unlike the book 'Freakonomics')
- Material that will trigger your mind and fire your thinking
- Provide some useful points to ponder
- Ammunition to confidently and openly debate
Background
I realized my ability to write (well in the professional sense of the word) in August of 2005 when I was hired to write for The Daily Athenaeum, West Virginia University's student-run newspaper by two benevolent humans.
Over the next couple of years I could see myself grow in stature, self-belief and conviction. I was the official health/technology correspondent and due to my engineering background by default I wrote the science/software/research related or Smart Stories (as it was called in journalistic parlance).
My columns pretty much was centered on politics, current affairs, certain global societal issues and some mundane campus matters.
The big moment of pride actually did come I believe when the reputed Princeton Review ranked the DA as the 10th best college newspaper in the nation. A true feeling of joy and achievement for which I'm not able to find words now.
Anyways, Happy Reading (and blogging too??)!
